Early Morning Stretch

theme – morning

Only a dedicated fast pitch softball mom would find herself here, at the ball field before the sun comes up and Starbucks is open, on Mother’s Day. Of course being the coach’s wife also meant you couldn’t just drop off your daughter and wait for Starbucks to open. Oh no. You had to help with all the equipment, tents, chairs, coolers, score book, and line up sheets. Yes, the coaches always made sure every girl had a little flower to give to her mom after the games, but it was always that one special dad that didn’t coach that would go out of his way to get each of the coaches wives a Starbucks. He was the real hero of the morning. – Diane

Ready at Home

theme – body

Ready at Home
The theme “body” made my mind think of an athlete (maybe Diane may have directed me there)

which brings me to the many years at the softball field.

My daughter Megan played catcher and I was always impressed in the strength and flexibility

of the catcher’s legs as they have to hold themselves in a squatted position for most of their defensive game.

For the love of the game –Kim

theme – My Environment

For this theme, I would guess most people would pick some nice, scenic landscape, but not me.  I chose a photo of my daughter playing softball. The softball season will begin tomorrow night at 6pm. This means my evenings will be spent at the softball field which makes this my environment, for the next few months.  -Diane
